Link-Up! Sunday Social :)

Sunday, June 10, 2012

Hey loves. So today is Sunday. Today I could think of zero to blog about. So as I'm sitting here with my cup of coffee (Starbucks blonde roast + hazelnut creamer from home=amazing) & I come across this new link-up - The Sunday Social. So without further adieu...

I'm linking up with Ashley & Neely for...

Sunday Social

On to today's questions about blogging...

How did you come up with your blog name?
I wanted something that was fun, but also let you know what I did for a living - real estate! I thought the diva part was cute, but ironic because I'm pretty far from a diva in real life. Basically I wanted to show my readers that this is a fun blog where we keep it real, so Confessions of a Real Estate Diva was born.

What is your favorite thing about blogging?
Hmm... I would have to say meeting all of you girls & reading your blogs. I love getting the chance to see how other people live in different parts of the country... and guess what? I think we're all alike in some ways. Nobody's life is perfect, but we all manage to make it a good time! I also love taking the time for myself to get my thoughts down, write a fun post, etc.

What is one thing you have discovered because of blogging and now cant live without?
I'm going to make this a two part question...
1.) 50 Shades of Grey! So many of my bloggy friends were obsessed, so I just had to try it for myself. Totally obsessed! Now I'm finished & sort of having withdrawals.
2.) I've taught myself all kinds of web related tricks that I can't believe I didn't figure out before! I love photobucket, for one. You can edit your pictures in so many different ways, convert to HTML, add text, etc. My fave (free) photo editing site for sure!

Facebook or Twitter?
I'm going to have to say... Facebook. But my opinion is biased because I just now gave in to Twitter, so I'm still trying to get into it. I'm sure the day will come once I start to follow all of you little tweeters out there. Ha!

If one celeb read your blog who would you want it to be?
My girl crush. Emma Stone for sure. I just love her. & Zooey Deschanel is a close second.

What is something you want people to know about your blog?
Still sort of a newbie, but loving it. It's real. This is my life, totally NOT perfect, because life is never perfect. I love meeting new bloggy friends & so stop & say hello :)

Now you want to link up? Go HERE!

Until next time...

High Five for Friday... Ahhh yeah!

Friday, June 8, 2012

Hello my little pretties... It's Friday & I'm linking up with Lauren for High Five for Fridays!
Photobucket
Is it just me, or did this week go by crazy fast? I think so. This week I'm combining my favorite things I did this week along with my favorite finds from around the web!

1.) First up, this spritzer. Remember it from THIS POST? Bottom line, it's Friday. You need no better reason to try it out.

2.) Doggie play date. This is Kobe's BFF, Boston. Safe to say they wore each other out big time!

3.) Went to a marketing seminar & it inspired me to make my own logo seperate from my real estate company :) Plus, I figured out how to make my own website using this easy site - wix.com

There is my logo. If anyone wants to see my site for an example, let me know :) Most of the templates could work for any business. Not as good as a custom website, but hey it's free!

4.) Found this on trusty Iowa Girl Eats... Looks pretty a-m-a-z-i-n-g if you ask me. On the menu for next week! Full recipe HERE.

5.) This chair. Major want!

And I'll leave you with this quote for the day!

Hope everyone has a great weekend! Tonight we will be visiting our "E" restaurant - El Mundo. For those of you that don't know, we are eating through the alphabet & I highly recommend it!

DIY Spritzer/Sangria Recipe

Wednesday, June 6, 2012

Hiya Ladies! I just love ordering sangria when I go out somewhere, but I always stick with just one because most sangrias are loaded with tons of sugar & therefore tons of calories. Here is a better version you can make at home!

DIY Spritzer/Sangria

All you need is a cherry wine, sprite zero, strawberries & crushed ice.

First add some crushed ice to a glass.
Next add 2-3 chopped strawberries.
Fill halfway with cherry wine.
Then top it all off with Sprite zero.

I used Kentucky Orchard cherry wine, but any brand will do.

To make it even better, pour into mason jars & add a bright straw.

Super easy & refreshing for summer!
Go give it a shot :)

Monday Confessions...

Monday, June 4, 2012

It's Monday, y'all! That means it's time for another round of Monday Confessions.

I confess... that my cornhole game vastly improves as I drink. I learned this over the weekend at the lake. I started off pretty bad, but with every cocktail somehow I managed to get better! & luckily the other chick we were with was crazy horrible, so my game looked ok compared to hers. I'll take it.

I confess... that I really need to make a hair appointment, but I keep putting it off because I can't make my mind up whether I want to chop it off or grow it out. Right now it's at that wierd middle stage, ya'll know what I mean..

I confess... that I'm really not ready for it to be Monday.

I confess... that I was looking forward to the Drop Dead Diva premiere last night, but I just couldn't get into it.  Then The Client List made it all better!

I confess... speaking of tv, that Pretty Little Liars comes back on Tuesday & I still literally CAN'T WAIT!

I confess... that I feel one of those weird moods coming on where you want to reorganize your entire house. Yeah, it's gonna happen.

That's all for now. What are you confessing??

Happy Monday!

A Night at the Garage Bar...

Saturday, June 2, 2012

Last night we unexpectedly met a couple of friends and headed out to The Garage Bar. This is a new(ish) bar/restaurant in the NuLu (New Lou - get it?) area of Louisville... The area is filled with boutiques, galleries, crazy restaurants & good vibes. It's very eclectic to say the least.

They have a really random concept of good beer, unique pizzas, and country ham... random but oh so good! I tried a Breckenridge Summer Ale & a Brooklyn Summer Ale & liked them both.

Then we split the country ham platter, sweet corn pizza, country ham pizza, and one other concoction that I forget the name of...

It was all quite good, especially the ham platter! Last night was also the Trolley Hop, so it was extra lively in NuLu. If you ever visit Louisville this is definitely a place to check out.

I'm off to my brother's graduation party... then Jason & I are headed to the lake with his family to spend the rest of the weekend on the water. See you guys Monday :)

2.) Winning this giveaway from the lovely Sarah over at Total Basset Case. & we found out that we live semi close which is awesome! Thanks again girlie!
Elf make-up goodies + a Target gift card...  So excited to try the Elf products, and who doesn't love Target??

3.) New reading material from les library... freebies... can't beat 'em.

4.) Pickin' wildflowers! Found these little pretties on a walk - pretty sure the white ones are weeds.. but whatever. I thought it was a good idea to pick them until they made my eyes itch like crazyyyy!

5.) Art show prep... making progress! Tan shag carpet is totally not a good backdrop, but you get the just of it...

2 more weeks to go. To all of my wedding friends out there, I make bridal party glasses, too! See them in my Etsy Shop.

Today I'm back on the real estate track helping a client pack up some of her things so we can get her house on the market, then meeting new clients with a builder for the first time. Then I think I might just surprise Jason with a date night.

What were your "High Five" this week??
