I am a total list freak. To-do lists, grocery lists, goal lists, work lists, lists of things to add to my other lists.... I literally will add something to my to-do list that is already complete strictly so I can have the satisfaction of crossing it off. Oh, and did I mention that I still use a paper planner? It's the only way to.
Lately I've been reading some of my fellow bloggers "30 before 30" lists... and thought I would make my own.. I have approx. 8.5 years to accomplish these things.. so here goes.
1. Go to Vegas -maybe next year??
2. Run a marathon - I've mastered the mini so far
3. Reach 1,000 sales on my Etsy shop (I'm currently at 102)
4. Go to a Big East tournament at Madison Square Garden in NYC
5. Plant a vegetable garden
6. Finish paying off my car - hopefully this year!
7. Grow my real estate business & get my brokers license
8. Go Skydiving - ticket purchased via la Groupon for this summer! - with Morgen.
9. Learn how to drive a stick shift
10. Have a weekend getaway to Chicago
11. Go on a girls trip
12. Have a booth at St. James Art Fair - or really any art fair...
13. Buy rental property
14. Volunteer with Big Brother Big Sister
15. Create my dream home office/craft room
16. Continue to blog, reach 1,000 followers
17. Visit New Orleans
18. Have or adopt a kid
19. Pour my own concrete countertops
20. Improve skills with power tools so I can build & design my own furniture
21. Learn to sew
22. Go rock climbing - real outdoor rock climbing
23. Finish "Eating through the Alphabet" with Holly - at the rate we are going we might finish by 30!
24. Travel somewhere alone
25. Get a facial
26. Take photography classes
27. Get married on a beach
29. Start investing instead of just saving
30. Join a networking group
Sheww... there you have it. Y'all have to hold me to it! Excited to start crossing things off this list.

DIY T-shirt Revamp!

So with the big game being Saturday.. I decided to revamp one of my lovely UofL t-shirts. I seem to have the problem that whenever I find a Cardinals t-shirt I like, it's too big! Jason bought me this one, which I love, but it still has the same problem. You know how t-shirts never seem to fit right? Well here is your solution :)
Start with this...
Next lay the t-shirt on a flat surface, making sure the front and backsides are lined up correctly. Then, begin to cut strips (about 1" - 1 1/2" wide) towards the middle of the shirt starting at the bottom all the way up to the sleeve.
Next, cut your shirt along the seam of each strip, giving you two sections you can tie together.
Now your ready to start your ties! Start with the one closest to the sleeve, and tie together. Do this for 2 or 3 of the strips.
Now put your shirt back on & finish tying off the remaining strips. I trimmed off the excess material after I tied, but you could leave it if you like the finge look.
And THIS is what you're left with...
A cuter, more form fitting version of your favorite tee. Pair with skinnies and some cute flats and you have your game day outfit ready to rock :)

Tuesday Recap - closing, painting & etsy deal!

Hiyya lovelies! Sheww its been a busy Tuesday! First off... check out this deal I found on Etsy..
This super cute tunic is marked down from $78 to $39 at Simone's Rose Boutique on Etsy. I would totally purchase for myself, but there is one left and it's a size large and won't fit me :( Somebody get this! Just click the picture to go to the Etsy shop.
Today I met my friend/client Patrick to do the final walk through/closing on his new house! Soo excited for him and his gf Ashley. We saw tons of houses and finally found the perfect one :)
After the closing I had to book it to the office, then clean a clients house. Thennn it was painting time at the rental house AGAIN. Jason has our friend/renter Heather moving in this weekend and we are really pushing to get everything finished. Today was painting ceilings (yuck!) and the bedroom, bathroom, and laundry room.
Still on the list:
New carpet & laminate flooring
Finish painting upstairs, living room, and trim touchups
2nd coat of paint on front door
Finish HVAC maintenance/install vents
Deep. Clean. Everything.
I'm pretty confident we will finish... but you never know. I am excited to post more before/after pics for you guys though!
... I've still been addicted to Polyvore the last few days... Here is my latest creation. This looks like the perfect weekend look. If only I had my red pants!

Why have I just discovered Polyvore?? I think I'm in love. I'm pretty sure this even surpasses.. wait for it... Pinterest! Yes, I do believe it does. This site reminds me of when I was younger and would sit around with magazines for hours, cutting pictures/words out to make collages. I used to LOVE to do that.. And now this is like the adult version!

Final Four, PLL, and other randoms

Let's just start out by saying.... C-A-R-D-S! Yep, that's right... my Cardinals have made it to the Final Four!
Had to break out my gear for the game :)
Soo proud of my boys getting it done against Florida.. Next up... UK or Baylor. If it's a UofL vs. UK showdown this state will literally shut down!
And while we're on the TV subject can we talk about this...
Best show ever!
Caught the season finale of Pretty Little Liars on the DVR when we got home from vaca, and can I just say WTF Mona?!
Didn't see that one coming. But we still don't know who "A" is for sure.. I guess we will have to wait to find out.. Seriously my Mondays have no meaning now that the season is over!
Guess I will have to hang out with this girl...
I've been loving her array of jackets Bethenny has been sporting on the show - especially a certain little tweed number she was wearing in the last episode that I can't seem to find a picture of. Maybe I can find a similar one on sale now that it's spring..? The search is on. Maybe F21?!
Anyways... we have been working on getting Jason's rental house ready by this coming weekend... and still have ALOT to do. Previous renters left the sad little house like this...
Gross, right? But wait til you see what we've done with the place.. it's turning into a cute little house :) New windows, new HVAC, all fresh paint- inside and out (including that ugly roof!), new flooring, cabinets... the list goes on. Can't wait to post some pics when it's finished! Talk about a transformation!

Allergies, Makeup, and Hunger Games Recap

Apparently it is officially allergy season. Ugh :(
I just started suffering from allergies within the last few years and let me tell you, they SUCK! I spent yesterday sniffing, sneezing, eyes watering.. the whole shebang. And a girl can only handle so much Benadryl. Jason keeps telling me to go to an allergist and get tested... but some reason in my head I think that will translate into shots every week, & I'm just not sure if I want to cough up the time & money for it. Do you guys suffer from allergies? If so, what works for you? I'm desperate.

It's Friday Y'all! I'll start by saying...
GO CARDS! The Cardinals shut down Michigan St. last night to move on to the Elite 8! When this team shows up, they are capable of anything. Up next is Florida, anything could happen, but I like their chances.
THE HUNGER GAMES!! So excited! I have finished all three books in preparation.
For those of you that don't know, the main character Jennifer Lawrence, is a Louisville girl! She is awesome :)
Since I missed last weeks Friday Finds while in Puerto Rico, here is a double dose for today.

Our "Precious" Getaway Recap....

Hello my little pretties... writing this back from the lovely Louisville where it is still in the high 70's. Thought I'd give you a recap in pictures of our Puerto Rico getaway!
Highlights of the trip include:
Taking a rental car to Old San Juan for some site seeing and shopping.
Hitting the beach on El Conquistador's island :)
Pool volleyball!
The view from our room = to die for!
Shots of some sort of dark rum, that we later may have regretted a bit!
Jason winning an Ipad2! woo hoo!

Seeing Precious! Yep, you remember her...
Can you say random?? Our hotel was the set for an upcoming episode of "The Big C"... it's on Showtime I hear.. We don't get Showtime, but maybe I can Hulu it! Anyway.. it was neat seeing what a production it is to record a few scenes for a TV show.. pretty crazy! And to top it off, our "bell boy" (aka guy that brought our bags to our room) was in the show! He got to be a waiter delivering drinks. Isn't that awesome?!
Now it's back to the real world! I have some work things to catch up on before the weekend, plus a closing tomorrow morning! Hope you enjoy the pics!
