Some of the little things in life I've been enjoying over the last few days...

Tug o' War with Kobe... this is one of his favorite things!


All the ingredients for my healthy (er)  pasta dinner tonight  + my open face chicken caprese sandwiches tomorrow! Something about cooking is relaxing. The eating part isn't so bad either :)

The bedroom redo is coming together slowly but surely. Hopefully I will find some more accessories & maybe even bedding tomorrow on my little shopping trip... Home Goods is finally here :)



Finding this image on Pinterest today... makes me "at peace" with the fact that my would - have - been biggest real estate deal fell through because my buyer was dishonest with me :(
Girls night last night with friends I haven't seen in quite a while where we were so busy talking that we failed to take any pictures. We went to my friend Dee's new apartment, which is oh so cute. Her boyfriend made a lot of the furniture out of pallets & it is so rustic & unique. I loved it all. She made white chili and we also consumed a little bit of this....

Finding out that one of my best friends is expecting! I'm so excited to help plan a baby shower for her :) It's still a secret for now though, so shhhh!

Monday Confessions

Oh, Monday.. We meet again!

I confess.... that I didn't work on my new Confessions artwork last week. Oops.

I confess... that I may have gone through an entire jar of Nutella last week.. Have you had nutella?

I confess... that I totally did not take "after" pictures when we completed the Mud Run on Saturday. Let's just say that we had a blast on some of the obstacles, but we had to wait 45 minutes in line before we could cross some of them. I don't think the event was planned very well. So after our 5k took us 3 HOURS to complete... we were ready to head home. But trust me - we were muddy!!

I confess... that instead of cleaning up the house yesterday, Jason & I spent the day on the river with friends. Wayyy better.

I confess... that I totally spoil Kobe. I filled up a little baby swimming pool for him yesterday :) He was in love. Pictures to come!

I confess... I am the queen of odd jobs! Today I have 2 houses to clean + real estate work.


I confess... I am sooo not looking forward to paying my car insurance today. I pay in 6 month premiums to save extra, but it stinks when the time to pay rolls around. Does anyone else totally hate paying these kind of bills?... car insurance, health insurance.. blah.

I confess... that my friend Tricia & I are taking off on Wednesday to hang out and go shopping... that's where my cleaning money comes in handy people!

Chair Lust & Creativity!

Dying right now - total chair lust!

Anyways...  yesterday I had a meeting in the a.m. & then I did what little real estate work I had left to do over the phone & on the computer... and that meant that I got to take what I like to call a "Creative Day"... My favorite kind of day ever!

I spent most of the day working on wine glass orders, both for my upcoming "ladies night" craft show and Etsy orders.

Yep... bridal was a common theme!

After hours of glass painting... I think it's safe to say that Kobe was feeling pretty bored & peppy...
He was making me feel guilty, ya know how dogs do! So I decided to take him on a sprint jog around the neighborhood and to the creek. I swear - that dog. He gets sooo excited once he sees his leash that he is a total spaz for the first half of our "jog". Once we got home, Kobe spent the rest of the afternoon pretty much like this... all stretched out on the cool tile floor.
Isn't he a cutie?

Sometimes you just have to take a few hours - or even an entire day - to yourself. My favorite way to do this is a "Creative Day"... but sometimes you need a "Lay Around & Watch TV Day" ... Either way, it's always nice to get to cross some things off your to-do list & then have some time to relax & refuel. Us girls need to do more of this in my opinion!

There's Something About a Book...

I will always be a book person... Yes I have a Kindle, who doesn't? Yes I read books on my Kindle regularly. But there is just something about a real book that just does it for me. I just love the feel, the smell, actually turning the pages... it's just not the same reading on the ole Kindle.

Oh and best place to read a real book?? By far the beach! This was in Destin a couple years ago & I just remember being sooo relaxed!

Do you still read real books or do you just do the digital thang?? Believe it or not, I still check out library books!! (Both for Kindle & IRL)

It's Just One of Those Days

Shewww... I tell you what... It has literally just been one of those days! Do you ever feel like you have days where nothing goes right?! I have literally been working for months on this one sale and now it's looking like it all might fall apart now that we're nearing the end. If there is one thing that sucks about working on commission - that, my friends, is it. Boy was today one of those days I was happy to come home to my dog!

Anyway, I guess sometimes you just have to roll with the punches & remind yourself that if you keep doing the right thing, ultimately you will succeed. (Maybe not with this sale, but hey... you can't win them all)...
I also always try to remember that no matter what problem you face, it's likely pretty minor compared to what someone else out there is going through. Moral of the story - Keep your head up!

All Grown Up

This is my main man Kobe, a.k.a the bear. Polar bear that is. Doesn't he remind you of a polar bear?
I just don't know what I would do without him. Sorry boyfriend, you're right up there with Kobe so no worries :)
I just love coming home to this love bear every day. No matter if I had a good day or a bad day, Kobe is there to greet me. He never holds a grudge. He always brightens my mood. He's loyal & he has so much personality.
No matter how many couches, pillows, cords, mulch, table legs, plates of cookies, phones, shoes, air conditioner pipes, bushes, flowers   things he absolutely destroys chews up, he's still the best.
I think us humans could learn alot from animals, don't you?

I am thankful everyday for my dog, and so happy that Jason decided to bring him home for Christmas 2-1/2 years ago. Best present ever.

Do you have a love bear of your own? If not you need to get one, like now, capiche?
